United States of America Mathematical Olympiad (USAMO)

IMO (International Mathematical Olympiads)

Each year since 1974, a small team of exceptionally talented high school students has represented the United States at the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO), a rigorous, two-day competition featuring problems that would challenge most professional mathematicians.

William Lowell Putnam Competitions

Designed for mathematics and physical science majors in colleges and universities, this examination tests originality as well as technical competence. Contestants should be familiar with the formal theories embodied in undergraduate mathematics.

MCM (Mathematical Contest in Modeling)

Organized by COMAP, this contest challenges teams of undergraduate students to clarify, analyze, and propose solutions to open-ended problems.

Interdisciplinary Contest in Modeling (ICM)

The ICM is an international contest for high school students and college undergraduates that promotes the use of interdisciplinary tools to explore environmental issues.

HiMCM (High School Modeling Contest)

HiMCM offers students the opportunity to compete in a team setting using mathematics to present solutions to real-world modeling problems.

MATHCOUNTS

MATHCOUNTS is a national math enrichment, coaching, and competition program that promotes middle school mathematics achievement.

Moody’s Mega Math Challenge (M3 Challenge)

Moody's Mega Math Challenge (M3Challenge) is an applied mathematics competition open to high school students. Winners receive scholarships for continuing education totaling $65,000.
