1997
In only its second year in existence, the Fried Egg Sandwiches have
already made their mark in the Higher Education League of Fantasy Football.
During the inaugural season of both the team and league, the Fried Egg
Sandwiches finished the regular season with a record of 11-3, good enough
to win the Cordelia Division. Earning a first round bye, the team
prevailed in its two playoff contests to win the first Fantasy Bowl (and
a nice check). Six players plus a defense return from that team to
begin the process of defending the title.
The Sandwiches' 11-3 record in the regular season ranked second only to the Vinland Norsemen; the 1123 points scored in the regular season was best in the league. Counting the playoffs, the team owns a 13-3 record and has scored 1283 points, both tops last year in the league.
1998
The Fried Egg Sandwiches completed another successful season in 1998.
The team sported a regular season record of 9-5, which tied for second
overall in the league, winning the Cordelia Division in the final week
of the season. The team once again won two playoff contests; however
this time, a championship was not in store; the team lost in the finals
to the Methane Explosion.
The Sandwiches' 9-5 record was behind only Sugar and Spice, and tied the Rikka Racka Fiyacrakas, the Methane Explosion, and Tigger's Team for the second best record in the league. The 1143 points scored set a new team record, and was third in the league behind the Methane Explosion and the Rikka Racka Fiyacrakas.
In its two year existence, the Fried Egg Sandwiches have won 20 regular season games (best in the league) and four playoff contests (second best). They are the only two-time division winner in league history. Counting the playoffs, the team has a record of 24-9 (.727 winning percentage) and has scored 2653 points.
