In Fall 1997, I took a position as an Assistant Professor at Keene State College in Keene, NH. I took a position at Plymouth State University in Plymouth, NH (nestled in the Southern White Mountains, just north of the beautiful Lakes Region) in the Computer Science and Technology Department as an Assistant Professor in Fall 1998. I was promoted to Associate Professor in 2003. In Fall 2006, I received a joint appointment in the Communication and Media Studies Department in order to develop and teach courses in Digital Media Studies. In Spring 2007, I moved full-time into the Communication and Media Studies Department and taught the first course that I developed in this area. The course is called Creating Games and focuses on using games (primarily non-computer-based games) as a creative medium for communication. I have also created and taught several other game design and development courses, including a course that uses the amazing Game Maker software.
One of the nice things about living in New Hampshire again is that I get
to see my niece and nephew, Alysha and Kyle, fairly
often. Aren't they cute?
