THE NETWORK DATA MODEL
This model was standardized by the Committee on Data Systems Languages/Database Task Group (CODASYL/DBTG '71) The graphical elements of the Network Model include nodes (for the data elements) and arcs with "crow's feet" that establish both the existence of the relationships and the cardinality (or "degree") of the relationship. An old example of this model was found in IDMS by Cullinet.
