High School Voices
Voices From the Center, a publication of the Plymouth Writing Project, will be dedicated to high school writers again this year. This will be our third year of soliciting writing from high school students in New Hampshire. Voices from the Center was created in 1995 as a place where writers and artists could deal with “taboo” topics, and a safe place to tell their stories. Last  year, in association with the Plymouth Writers Group, we began dedicating the entire publication to high school writers.
We publish fiction, essays, poetry and narrative which speak to the core or essence of our experience of life.  They include the best selections published in high school literary magazines as well as pieces that have not yet been published.
We are planning to invite authors of accepted pieces and their English teachers to a one-day writing conference at Plymouth State College. The conference will provide workshops in fiction, non-fiction and poetry writing in which teachers will be able to write alongside their students under the guidance of college faculty.
