Foté is a band from the seacoast area of New Hampshire.  We concentrate on playing West African rhythms with Djembes and Dununs.  Our focus is on traditional rhythms from the countries of Guinea, Mali, and the Ivory Coast, but occasionally we play composed pieces using the complex traditional syncopation as a platform.  We can be booked for performances, or combinations of performance, minor instruction, and jamming with the audience.
